Reforms and new innovative practices initiated & implemented at several work place in the various capacities
Administrative Reforms initiated & implemented in Examination Section of University during the tenure as a Controller of Examinations, University of Mumbai, (Feb. 2008 - Feb. 2012)
1) The eight digit unique code number has articulated to all the University Examinations.
2) Introduced the Bar Coded cum OMR type of answer books for Examinations first time in the University to maintain the confidentiality and block the unfair practices.
3) Introduced OMR type of attendance and supervisory report of the candidates and stored the scanning image of the same to avoid the impersonation in the examinations.
4) Introduced the rainbow coloured, incorporated the photograph of candidate and security features on the statement of marks.
5) Introduced the printing of photographs of the candidates on the statement of marks to avoid the misuse of documents.
6) Introduced the digitization of University Examinations results file to expedite the verification process
7) Introduced the separation of office result file of regular, reserved candidates and files of revaluation results to avoid the manual amendment in the result file to keep the transparency and save the time.
8) The Cluster CAP Centers had been established in the various regions to expedite the assessment work.
9) The separate color code was implemented to the answer books to differentiate the regular and IDOL students to expedite the result of regular college students.
10) The proposal was initiated to conduct separate examinations of regular and IDOL students for the various courses / programs to expedite declaration of results.
11) The proposal was initiated and placed before BOE to establish an evaluation division: restructuring model for the University of Mumbai.
12) The action was initiated against the defaulters and persons who found guilty at the examination section as per the provision.
Initiated the Use of Information & Communication Technology in Examinations System
1) The process of e-governance has initiated partially for the communication purpose with the colleges.
2) Implemented the online system for receipt of term work / oral / internal marks of the candidates through internet from the various colleges.
3) The proposal for generation of web-based question papers and delivery was placed before BOE.
4) Use of Digital University Portal for submissions of online examinations forms and allow the colleges to generate the hall ticket at their level was implemented.
5) It was proposed to issue the smart card to all the approved examiners & moderator to streamline and maintain the recording of assessed answer books and electronically transfer the remuneration of the concerned.
Training / consultation conducted
1) The workshops were conducted at various colleges on implementation of Bar Coded cum OMR system to all stake holders at college level and University staff who are involved in carrying out the examinations work.
2) The new Guidelines with respect to bar coded & OMR system for Chief Conductors, Supervisors and Students has drafted and circulated.
3) The workshops conducted at various colleges on implementation of Credit and Grading System for all the stake holders.
During the tenure as a Training & Placement Officer at Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering, (LTCE), Navi Mumbai, (Aug. 2005 – Feb. 2008)
1) Initiated the MOU with Infosys Technologies Limited, Bangalore for campus connect program for third and final year students to organized the training and workshops on skill and technical proficiency development.
2) Organized many campus placement programs of reputed companies, such as, Infosys, Hexaware, Capgemini, Patni Computers, Satyam, M&M, L&T and so many for the placement of students.
Parshvanath College of Engineering, Thane in the capacity of Assistant Professor and Head, (Mechanical Engineering) (Aug. 2001- Aug. 2005)
1) Initiated and started the student’s chapter of Society of Automotive Engineers (India) for Mechanical Engineering students.
2) Organized the inter-collegiate technical and research paper presentation competition on various topics for Mechanical Engineering Students.
3) Initiated and build up the industry-institute nexus for technical trainings and on campus placement of final year students.
